Hurricane season for Hawaii is June through November. Fortunately for us, there hasn’t been a really bad hurricane in the state since 1992. Tropical storms still come through every year, and they are to be taken serious.

Tropical storm winds can be strong enough to send your Maui lanai furniture soaring. If a tropical storm warning is issued for your area, you should secure everything just in case. Heavy rains and high winds can still cause a lot of damage.

It is encouraged that you stock up on food and supplies as well. Because we are out in the Pacific Ocean, it can be hard to get supplies replenished. Don’t drive in bad weather if you don’t have to. It is safest to stay indoors and keep an eye on the storm.
